Hailing from South Africa. In his formative years, Shane's spirit roamed the vast plains of the Karoo, where the stars seemed within reach, enticing him to leap and touch their ethereal glow. Surrounded by the beauty of nature on his family farm, he discovered a passion for exploration and a deep appreciation for the interconnectedness of the world.

After pursuing his studies in fashion design, Shane's path led him to the United Kingdom to chase his dreams of becoming a designer. However, fate had a different plan in store. It was through his journey in the world of home furnishings that Shane found his true calling. His innate love for creating stylish and harmonious living spaces led him to take charge of the retail division at Dwell, a part of DFS, where he flourished until 2022 when he decided to join Lee full-time at HutHuis, having founded and conceptualized the store 2 years earlier .

Shane's wellspring of creativity draws inspiration from a multitude of sources. He finds solace and motivation in the company of people, fellow artists, and the transformative power of travel. Believing in the symbiotic relationship between the outdoors and indoors, he seeks to harmonize nature's allure with the comforts of home, infusing his designs with a touch of organic splendor.
